ELINOR is a Beni Ourain: A typical Beni Ourain is characterised by thick white wool and minimalistic black lines in graphic patterns. Originally these carpets were used as floor insulation of the tends of the Beni Ourain tribe in the northern Middle Atlas Mountains where the winter is long, cold and snowy. The women of the Beni Ourain tribe hand knotted these carpets and produced them over and over again to keep their families warm and protected. The (mostly black and white) rugs are very trendy right now, but their classic beauty is something that never goes out of style.

We suggest placing a non-stick pad underneath to protect the weave and keep it from sliding. Please keep in mind, this product is made from natural material and the shades of the light coloured wool may vary within the rug.
